Over the weekend, I was walking the streets of downtown Toronto looking for a bite to eat and I'm so glad I came across Wilbur Mexicana.

Located at 552 King Street West, in the heart of Toronto, Wilbur Mexicana reflects the modern style of Ontario's Capital. The tall glass double doors encase the gorgeously designed interior, it's enough to catch the eye of any passer-by. But step through the doors and that's where the wonderful Wilbur experience begins.

The doors of Wilbur Mexicana.

You walk in. To your left is a short white counter on top of a black-tiled column, hanging off of it is a menu pasted onto a matte dark-grey tablet that embellished "Wilbur Mexicana" in golden font. To your left there are short, round white tables that allowed seats for two to four people. To your left are long wooden tabletops sitting on white-tiled stands, all of which is underneath a low hanging chandelier, hand-crafted out of glass bottles. Directly in front of you is the ordering counter, which stood underneath the large four-part menu sign.

Now, the food. They have a wide selection of bites, which include; Burritos, Tacos, Fajitas, Quesadillas, and Salads. They definitely have something for every customer that walks through those doors. As for portion size, they do NOT disappoint. When your burrito is similar to the size of a small neck pillow, you`re getting your money`s worth. With that being said, the menu is considerably cheap for what they give you. Aside from the large main dish, they give you a great amount of tortilla chips, complete with salsa, guac, and sour cream on the side. The flavours of each dish are incredibly balanced, but if you're looking for more heat, there is an open spice bar that has sauces that range from the very mild to the extreme spice. I wasn`t able to finish everything all at once, which is no surprise to the workers, who will happily give you a take-home container.

Customer service is probably the best I`ve ever experienced in recent memory. Everyone greets you as soon as you walk into the restaurant, and their smiles never seem to fade. They`re all so easy to talk to, so don`t be afraid to spark up a conversation while you eat your meal. The place never seems to be in a rush, so the workers are happy to take some time to chat. The workers do not want to be seen as only waiters/waitresses, but rather as friends, and with their only uniform being a black t-shirt with "Wilbur Mexicana" stylishly plastered on the front, they blend right in with the crowd.

I give Wilbur Mexicana a 5 out of 5 stars.
